WHEB originates from the original location of Whitehill, Hillhouse, Earnock or Burnbank. WHEB was established in Hamilton in 1995 as a Community based CU in January 1995.
Open to those who reside in Whitehill, Hillhouse, Earnock & Burnbank. The Credit Union has enjoyed considerable growth ever since.
Proving that their economic, social and financial services are of benefit to members and the community with the operations and management of the credit union carried out by volunteers and the Board of Directors
A good savings record in the credit union is an acknowledged way of creating a personal source of saved capital and a potential source of much needed credit if necessary.
The member ship has grown and they have over 2000 active adult members
With over 1000 junior members enjoying their own savings account when at their 16th birthday may transfer to an adult account helping them with finances as they go through life.
The world of the Credit Union is ever changing and the introduction of IT, the internet, this credit union is allowing the members to complete certain processes online.
