It was earlier in the year when the founders of Shettleston Tollcross Credit Union after a time training registered with the then regulators.
There was a slight change to the name in June 2008 to Shettleston and Tollcross Credit Union. Prior to the change the credit union had some difficulties causing the FSA to intervene. This was eventually resolved.
It is a local credit union with a common bond for those living or working within the G32 and G33 postcode areas.
The Financial Inclusion Team of the local housing association are keen to promote the advantages of joining the credit union as an affordable option to access credit.
