(PKCU) is the newest credit union in Scotland, having opened its doors in April 2014 with the help of funding from Perth & Kinross Council. The support of Perth Citizens’ Advice Bureau and the national trade association ABCUL.
The credit union has already served up to 1,000 members and holds over £350,000 of members’ savings, and approved more than 700 loans in the 2015 year alone. The common bond coverers anyone who lives or works in the Perth and Kinross local authority area.
PKCU serves a wide geographical area, having local offices that more people can access the services without having to travel far. Whilst there are some members of staff, they rely on volunteers to staff some of the offices
In 2019 they moved into new premises at 58-60 George St., Perth PH1 5TH
