The original founder members struggled against a backdrop of social deprivation and unemployment to build a solid foundation that would last.
It was started for people who reside in North Airdrie after a period of training and various visits to others who had already seen the benefits of credit unions in small communities.
They are a member of ABCUL who support them with help to become and remain a compliant and sustainable business.
The credit union has experienced steady growth over the years with a Membership of around 1500 as far as reported.
