Mosshill Credit Union

Established in 1980 Companies House Number 1CUS

The credit union was first formed in 1972 and registered under the credit Union act in March 1980 and has been running for over 40 successful years.

They are a community financial co-operative run by the community for the community, for the mutual benefit of members with the aim to Encouraging members to save regularly.

They happily provide members with help and support on managing their financial affairs with small loans at very low interest rate, with free life savings and loan protection insurance.

The Credit Union is run by a Board of Directors, who are democratically elected at an annual general meeting. They are members who have volunteered to take on the responsibility and are then fully trained in Credit Union management.

To become a member of Mosshill Credit Union you must live in our Common Bond. (Bellshill, Mossend, Holytown and South of New Stevenson)

From humble beginnings the credit union has grown to and has given over all the years of service to the local community. They credit union operates a junior savings club in local primary schools which has proved to be a very successful way of encouraging children to save.

The Credit Union has had significant growth over those years, so much so the Directors decided to aquire premises to accommodate the credit union into the 21st century.
