Highland Communities Credit Union

Established in 1999 Companies House Number 140CUS

Began as Lochaber Credit Union back in February 1999 and was set up following a study group earlier in the previous year. The Credit Union was first opened and service was conducted in a room operated by volunteers and a Board of Directors who were elected on behalf of future members to oversee the business.

Members should be grateful for the vision and dedication of those who have steered the credit unions to their present numbers and influence. Due to the increase in membership and with the changing of the common bond in May 2015 that was when the name changed.

Highland Communities Credit Union takes members from the Highland Regional Council area, including the Small Isles. Lochaber Housing Association are a named collection site for the Credit Union.
