Faifley Credit Union

Established in 1980Companies House Number 11CUS

The credit union began as a community savings & loans provider and registered as a credit union as required under the recently Credit Union Act of 1979.

The original founder members struggled against a backdrop of social deprivation and unemployment to build a solid foundation that would last. What they had created has stood the test of time and a debt of gratitude is owed to those founder members for the benefits enjoyed today.

From humble beginnings the credit union has grown to and has given over all the years of service to the local community and continue to provide the services of Savings and Loans to members. They offer junior saver account where children can start saving until 18 and can then transfer to an adult account helping them with finances as they go through life.

As a member of the Scottish League of Credit Unions they are supported with help to become and remain a compliant and sustainable business
