The credit union was set up following a study group the previous year attending training and visiting other credit unions that were already in full swing.
Based on mutual principles it is a small credit union serving the community in the best way it can and they don’t benefit anybody other than their members.
Along with other credit unions in Scotland they are affiliated to the Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL)
Whilst the records show as an active credit union there is no further written detailed history of the credit union. So, if someone would like to update then please let us know.
