Sion Mills Credit Union

Was Eventually registered in January1971 with the company number NO000061 in order to comply with legislation .

Since then the Credit Union has offered people a friendly way to save and borrow. They offer a service for local people and over the years have allowed local people to save and borrow at an affordable rate.

From the humble beginnings the credit union has grown to and has given over all the years and excellent service to the local community.

The credit union operates in Local primary schools and has proved to be a very successful way of encouraging children to save.

The Credit Union saw significant growth over those years, so much so the Directors decided to purchase premises to accommodate the credit union.

From paper-based passbooks to Internet banking the credit union has progressed beyond the thoughts of those founders.

The credit union is a member of the Irish league of Credit Unions.
