Since then the Credit Union has offered people a friendly way to save and borrow. They offer a service for local people and over the years have allowed local people to save and borrow at an affordable rate.
Ormeau Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in Northern Ireland. Located at 252 Ormeau Road in south Belfast,
They have been in existence since the early 1960’s and in 2017 currently had around 8000 account holders.
Membership is open to anyone who has something in common with the rest of the membership.
In credit union parlance this is known as the common bond of membership. Generally, that means if you live or work in central or south Belfast (including Carryduff) you should be able to join.
