Founders of the credit union began discussing about credit unions in 1989 And was registered with the company number NO000120 in March 1990.

The common bond for membership is now members of the Orange Institution, belonging to the districts of Armagh, Killylea, Keady, Markethill, Newtownhamilton, Tandragee, Richhill and Loughgall and extended family of members may also join.
They accept applications for corporate accounts from Orange Lodges; Black Preceptories or Bands directly associated with the Orange Order, as long as they are within the common bond.
Junior savings account, available to children from birth until their 16th birthday currently with a limit of £5000.
2019 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Credit Union.
