With the Company number NO000073as an Industrial and Provident Society Company was incorporated in February 1971.

The Credit Union has offered people a friendly way to save and borrow. The service is for local people and over those years have allowed local people to save and borrow at an affordable rate.
A good savings record in the credit union is an acknowledged way of creating a personal source of saved capital and a potential source of much needed credit if necessary.
The credit union has grown and has given its all over the years of service to the local community so much so the Directors decided to purchase premises to accommodate the credit union
Originally with volunteers and now with paid staff. As members of the Irish League they have participated with local schools in events, including the annual Art Competition and national credit union Schools quiz.
