The credit union has been serving the community in Ards since July 1993 as an Industrial and Provident Society Company number NO000153.
A Local credit union with a common bond for those living or working within a four mile radius of BT23 4AN.
The doors in Mary Street were opened in 1993 and the operations and management of the credit union was carried out by volunteers some who still taking part.
In 2002 It was necessary again to move to 55 North street and further expansion later moving in 2014 to a new office in Church Street.
December 2016 the common bond changed for anyone working or living in North Down and Ards council area.
Greyabbey Credit Union merged with the credit union in October 2016, members transferred and could now make their transactions in the Newtownards office.
With this significant growth Directors decided to move to new offices at 12 North street in the November of 2018
The world of the Credit Union is ever changing and this Credit Union will be at the forefront of these changes.
