Loughguile Credit Union

The Credit Union is a local, not for profit financial institution. Established in 1966 by a group of local people registered in January 1971 as an Industrial and Provident Society Company number NO000044

Since then the Credit Union has offered people a friendly way to save and borrow. They offer a service for local people and over the years have allowed local people to save and borrow at an affordable rate.

The common bond is for people living or working from around Loughguile and the surrounding area. The common bond is for people living or working

The Credit Union offers a Junior Saver Account where children can start saving until 16 and can then transfer to an adult account helping them with finances as they go through life.

From those humble beginnings the credit union has grown to and has given over all the years of service to the local community

The Credit Union saw significant growth over those years, so much so the Directors decided to purchase premises to accommodate the credit union.
