Established in Jan 1971 company number NO000036 as a continues to service the members and has updated over many years to the new ways of doing business and enhancing the members experience.

Membership of Faughanvale Credit Union is open to anyone who lives in the Faughanvale area offering people a friendly way to save and borrow.
The beginning of the credit union coincided with the launching of the new decimal money. The office was a room in a Hall and was operated by volunteers evetually acquiring refurbished premises’ which was opened as the membership grew. The Common Bond in time was also extended to serve the wider community
The credit union has been ranked along with all other credit unions as No. 1 for customer experience in Ireland four years in a row.
The credit union is a member of the Irish League of Credit Unions which is the largest trade representative organisation for credit unions on the island of Ireland.
