The Credit Union is a local, not for profit financial institution. Established in 1985 by a group of local people and registered as an Industrial and Provident Society Company number NO00164.
Founded in 1985 and set up for combating financial exclusion in the area, to make available affordable loans and provide a safe accessible means of saving to their members.
Volunteers staffing the service ensure that it is appropriate and meets the needs of the members.
Dundonald Credit Union competes on the basis of knowing their members, have accessibility, flexibility, professionalism.
The Credit Union aims to play an important part in countering the operation of unscrupulous and illegal money lending.
They are a part of the community, not apart from it and have set the target of 3000 members by 2019.
