A member of the Ulster Federation the credit union was registered in January 1995 as an Industrial and Provident Society Company number NO000163.

Started by a number of members from the local Orange Lodge for the benefit of the community and continue to serve the members between 10am and 12 noon.
The operations and management of the credit union is carried out by volunteers and goverened by an elected the Board of Directors.
The common bond covers people who work or live within a 5-mile radius of Comber.
The Credit Union offers a Junior Saver Account where children can start saving until 18 and can then transfer to an adult account helping them with finances as they go through life.
Until recently, all credit unions in Northern Ireland were regulated by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI).
Big changes saw the credit union come under the Financial Conduct authority in 2012.
