Registered in August 2003 as Chester Credit Union with the company number of 702C as Chester Credit Union Limited.
It was not until the August of 2008 that the name changed to West Cheshire Credit Union Limited.
The common bond of either living, working studying or volunteering within Cheshire. supported by a number of volunteers a full-time manager and a team of 8 part time members of staff.
They have gone from strength to strength and now has over 4000 members and continues to grow.
Lending out over 3million. Based in Brookdale Place, opposite the main bus station the new Chester City Centre shop front provides a real alternative to high-interest money lenders and loan sharks for many more local residents.
There is also a branch at 13 Whitby Road Ellesmere Port.
