After a period of training and meetings the founders registered as a credit union in July 2002 with the FSA with the company number 685C.
Anyone who lives or works or studies within the WD postcode area can join the credit union.
Community groups and charities based in a WD Postcode too, may join as Corporate members.
Volunteers staff the collection points in local community centres, churches etc, with opening hours depending on volunteer numbers and availability.
Payroll deduction is provided by Watford Council and Watford Community Housing Trust and this facility is possible with other employers in the common bond.
The loan and savings rules apply equally to employee members and community members.
