Registered in September 1989 for everyone who lives or works within Redcar and Cleveland Area.

The credit union claims to be the oldest Credit Union in the Tees Valley and one of the first ever registered in the North East, delivering low cost savings and loans to Residents and was based at South Bank’s Neighbourhood Centre.
From humble beginnings the credit union has grown and has given over the years an excellent service to the members residents of Redcar and Cleveland.
They appointed the first member of staff in December 2015.
Long-standing volunteers were present at the cutting of the ribbon of the new Community Bank in August 2016 moving to Middlesbrough Road. The Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland Councillor Barry Hunt opens the credit union at South Bank. Picture by Stuart Boulton.
