Registered as Sefton City council employees Credit Union in March 1990 by group of council employees.

Thirteen years later they became known as Sefton Employee’s Trades and Industry Credit Union Limited (SETI) Credit Union and the following year the name changed to just Sefton Credit Union.
The Mission of the Credit Union was and remains to promote the financial well-being of its members.
To achieve this purpose the Credit Union continues to be committed to providing a broad range of innovative financial products supported by the excellent service of dedicated, well-trained staff.
The criteria for joining Sefton Credit Union is that you live or work in the L-postcodes of West Lancashire Merseyside, or, Southport PR8/PR9.
