Established as Medway South Credit Union Limited in 1999 by a group of people who undertook training and guidance in the setting up a credit union.
It was in August 2001when the current name was adopted and the common bond to be for people who live or work in the Medway Towns or the Borough of Swale.
In 2013 a credit union volunteer Caroline Swift received an award as benefactor of the year at the Feline awards held in Liverpool,
Further expansion in 2014 was welcomed with new members from across Swale.
Members are required to save for a period of at least 3 months before applying for a loan and continue to save.
The credit union is located on the 1st Floor of the Pentagon Shopping Centre above Sainsbury’s.
