Was registered in September 1998 and ever since has been staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers and managed by a Board of Directors who are also unpaid.
Costs have been low for the last few years because of the volunteer staff so a dividend has been paid of around 1% – 2%. Membership is open to anyone who either lives or works in Dacorum
The credit union also provides junior accounts for under 16 year olds and Christmas savings account that can be withdrawn in November each year.
