The credit union was registered in July 1990 as an independent community credit union serving the local residents. The operations and management of the credit union is carried out by volunteers.
It is a small credit union based in Stoops and Hargher Clough Community Centre Burnley. The Board of Directors aim has been to provide a savings and loans to its own member community. Whilst the records show as an active credit union with the company number 201C,
