Bedford Credit Union was established in 1998 and has grown such that adult membership now exceeds 1800, with 1100 junior members.
They are looking after members’ savings in excess of £1.25m and have a loan book in excess of £475k. they encourage regular saving and thrift together with the provision of loans that are sensibly priced and affordable.
The Credit Union has community service at its heart and as such they involve volunteers in the running of the office, carrying out many of the key functions of the business.
